Webinar

10 July 2007, 12:00 (UK time)

Bioscience for Business would like to invite you to its next online seminar, also known as webinar.

This webinar will be presented by Dr Wolfgang Skibar (Bioscience for Business KTN).

The fine chemical industry faces a lot of challenges: global competition, increasingly stringent environmental regulations etc. New technologies are needed to face these challenges. Biotechnology is emerging as a key technology for manufacturing industries, especially for those producing high-value products such as fine chemicals. This presentation will give an overview of the problems the fine chemicals industry faces and the way biotechnology can offer solutions. Case studies will show the economic and environmental benefits biotechnology can offer for manufacturing processes. Future developments and chances, especially in the up-coming bio-economy, will be discussed.
