READERSHIP/CHAIR IN BIO-PROCESSING

Readership: £40,335 – £46,758/Professorial minimum: £48,162

As part of an ongoing expansion in Chemical Engineering, Heriot-Watt require to make a senior academic appointment to extend and enhance the existing research programme in bio-processing. An enthusiastic, research driven individual with particular interest in working at the bioscience-engineering interface, you will make a significant contribution to research and teaching in this key area. You will be working in the bio-related research with a proven track record of fundamental research. You should have an existing national and international research profile, a record of securing external funding and an academic background in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering. Individuals with complementary backgrounds will also be considered. You will develop and contribute to cross disciplinary activities in bio-related research initiatives and teaching at advanced MEng and MSc level. With a PhD, you must exhibit leadership qualities with a proven ability to establish and maintain effective research collaborations.
