Enzyme and Microbial Databases

http://wdcm.nig.ac.jp/index.html WFCC-MIRCEN World Data Centre for Microorganisms (WDCM) provides a comprehensive directory of culture collections, databases on microbes and cell lines, and the gateway to biodiversity, molecular biology and genome projects. For a list of 522 culture collections go to http://wdcm.nig.ac.jp/hpcc.html

http://umbbd.msi.umn.edu/search/index.html The University of Minnesota Biocatalysis/Biodegradation Database. This database contains information on microbial biocatalytic reactions and biodegradation pathways for primarily xenobiotic, chemical compounds. The goal of the UM-BBD is to provide information on microbial enzyme-catalyzed reactions that are important for biotechnology.

http://merops.sanger.ac.uk/about/about_frm.htm The MEROPS database is a resource for information on peptidases (sometimes also termed proteases, proteinases and proteolytic enzymes). About 3000 individual peptidases and inhibitors are included in the database, and there is a Summary page describing each one.
